Coral Gables Condo Buildings
Coral Gables is George Merrick's 1920s City Beautiful — Mediterranean Revival architecture, coral-stone gates and banyan-lined boulevards around Miracle Mile, the Biltmore Hotel and the University of Miami. Its condo market clusters in the walkable downtown along Ponce de Leon and Aragon, reaches the bay at the Gables Club and Gables Waterway on Edgewater Drive, and ends at gated Deering Bay, where Mediterranean towers wrap an Arnold Palmer golf course on Biscayne Bay.

Living in Coral Gables
Coral Gables is the planned city George Merrick carved from citrus groves in the 1920s — the City Beautiful, laid out in Mediterranean Revival with coral-stone entrances, fountained plazas, and boulevards named for Spanish cities. A century later the plan still governs: height limits and design review protect the fabric, the Biltmore's tower still anchors the skyline, and the city runs on its own institutions — Miracle Mile, the University of Miami, a museum-grade city hall and one of the county's strongest school clusters.
The condo market lives mostly downtown, in the blocks around Ponce de Leon and Miracle Mile where the Gables is at its most walkable: 1300 Ponce, 55 Merrick, Ten Aragon, Andalusia, Douglas Grand, The Minorca and boutique Biltmore Parc beside the golf course. On the city's short bayfront at Edgewater Drive sit The Gables Club and Gables Waterway Towers; The Avenue serves the university district; the Coral Way corridor adds Gables Marquis and Shamrock Gables; and gated Deering Bay closes the city at the bay with golf-course towers and marinas.
Gables buyers are buying restraint. The city permits little, so condo supply is structurally scarce; residences skew larger and owner-occupied; and daily life runs on foot — coffee on Giralda Plaza, the Saturday walk down Miracle Mile, Metrorail to Brickell when work calls. It is the market for people who want Miami's weather and economy inside a city that behaves like it was finished a hundred years ago — because it was.
